📘 Our Journey
AksharJyoti Education And Learning Institute is an educational organization working for meaningful learning, comprehensive development and academic excellence. We started our journey 23 years ago through different educational activities.
Initially we began with coaching of academic subjects Science and Mathematics for standards 8th to 10th, learning in different boards later on adding need-based activities. They included customized workshops, individual education plans, parental guidance, psychometric testing, aptitude testing, study tours and many more. Now from February 2026 we have started working as an organization to cater the varied needs of students and parents.
Our present programs are Open Learning Centre, External Examination Preparation, Testing – Guidance, and Counseling, Aptitude testing, Career Counseling, Workshops and Camps, and Study Tours.

Many philosophers and educationists have defined education in different ways. Bringing together these perspectives, we believe that education is a continuous process of nurturing and bringing out the best qualities and potential within an individual—for the betterment of the individual, their family, society, the nation, and the world.
Education is not limited to textbooks or classrooms. It is a dynamic journey that includes teaching, learning, unlearning, imitation, refinement, remembering, forgetting, experimenting, observing, and drawing meaningful conclusions.

Founder & Director
A passionate educator with 30+ years of teaching experience. Science & Mathematics teacher, School Psychologist, and Career Counselor with a holistic approach to education.
Expert in experiential and activity-based learning — trained many young minds to become proactive learners. Part of educational research programs including test construction, evaluation, and designing modules for programmed learning.
Associated with Jnanaprabodhini, Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana, Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, and Arthabodh.
Initiated innovative activities like Abhivyakti Summer Camp, Friendship with Maths, Garage Sale, field visits and study tours for joyful learning.

Science-trained educator and program leader. Ph.D. and M.S. in Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University. MBA for Scientists from Keck Graduate Institute.
Postdoctoral research at Public Health Research Institute of New Jersey and Georgia Institute of Technology. Associate Professor at Sinhgad College of Sciences and Adjunct Faculty at Santa Clara University.
Led STEM outreach events and community-based learning programs with annual budgets exceeding $100K. Volunteered with the American Chemical Society and coordinated the U.S. National Chemistry Olympiad.

A distinguished artist, educator, and Founder-Director of Geetanjali Kala Academy, with over 31 years of experience in Advertising, Interior Design, Fine Arts, and Art Education. For the past 22 years, she has nurtured a creative approach to teaching that values observation, imagination, spontaneity, and self-expression over conventional coaching methods.
Her practice spans visuals, printmaking illustration, and children’s book art, inspired deeply by nature and expressive storytelling. Her notable bilingual publications include Minu’s Journey, Maza Dost, Changli Savay, and Aapla Nisarg.
Raised in a family of artists and publishers, Geetanjali believes art is a powerful non-verbal medium for building confidence and emotional expression in children. Mandani is the academy’s annual student art exhibition celebrating artistic growth.
